Hello everybody! We're gearing up for our return engagement
to Mother McGintey's this weekend. We've been looking forward
to it for a long time. There will also be something of an
unveiling of sorts.
There's something very NEW in the Roadhouse Camp!
We had a Dry-Run at our gig in North Bay a few weeks ago but
now we are excited for the Ottawa Premier this weekend.
So come on out and have a great time with The Greatest
Party Band... Period!

We were excited to get the call a few months back for a return venture
to the North Bay area to play the East Ferris Winter Carnival. When
everything was confirmed, the Boys all yelled "Road Trip"!
We made our way up on Saturday morning, got to the hall and set-up
and we knew it was going to be a great night because the folks were
actually enjoying sound-check. We hit the stage and the Party
was on. All we can say is: "East Ferris... You GUYS TOTALLY
ROCKED!!! What a intense party that was. You could
almost taste the energy in the hall and we were loving it. They
danced, they sang like we hadn't heard before, there were smiles
on every face... especially ours!
We'd had some time to relax, spend time with our families over the
Christmas Break and re-charge our batteries. It was a such
a great gig to start the New Year off.
We'd like to send a big RH shout out to our hosts Jeff and Marianne
Wagner for taking good care of us... hope to see you next year!
Well, with a New Year comes some new surprises.
Stand by as we fill you in on some BREAKING NEWS...

I don't even know where to begin! It was such a great weekend
that I just don't know where to start!
OK, let's start at the beginning: Thursday night was the first night
of the 2009 Metcalfe Fair and we took to the stage
on that frigid evening in a building without heat! Word has
it that the temperature dropped to approximately 1 degree Celsius.
Let me tell you: that's COLD when you're playing a stringed
instrument AND you can see your breath when you sing!!! Despite
the cool temperatures, we had a great time with the folks who were
in attendance. Thanks to KJ for everything...
The heated trailer was greatly appreciated on our breaks! We
hope to be back next year!
Friday and Saturday nights found us at the NEW Crazy Horse
in Kanata. We hit the stage Friday night to an already full
House and the Party did not stop until the lights came on at Closing
Time. We got the opportunity to catch up with some of our
"old" friends from the original "Horse" in Carp. But whether
old friends or new, we all had a great time partying, dancing and
singing... and let me tell you they certainly can sing.
Saturday was more of the same: lots of singing, dancing and
having a good time. We left there feeling great and definitely
looking forward to our next date there on November 27-28.
As always, we'd like to send a huge Thank You to
Mike Labreche and the entire Crazy Horse Staff for making us feel
welcome.
And one last item to mention:
The Mad Scramble Ball Hockey Team is hosting a Charity Benefit
Dance and Silent Auction featuring ROADHOUSE with the proceeds
going to the Canadian Lung Cancer Society to help
them purchase new equipment and uniforms.
It all takes place on Nov 21st, 2009 at the Kanata Legion @ 70 Hines
Rd, Kanata, ON.
Doors open at 8pm and the party goes until 1am.
You might be asking yourself: Who is "Mad Scramble"? They
are a bunch of local Firemen, Police Officers and Army personnel
who play Ball Hockey weekly all year round. These guys put
their lives on the line for us on a daily basis, so let's help support
a great cause.
There will be lots of great door prizes and 50/50 draws and lots
of great items to bid on.
Sandwiches, desserts and tea and coffee will be served at midnite.
Tickets must be purchased in Advance: There will be No Tickets at
the Door..

We were back in Williamsburg, Ontario for the 18th Annual HarvestFest
and what a night it was! The folks there know how to get the
Party started... and keep it going. The dance floor was full
from the first song and the singing was loud and proud. We
got to catch-up with some of the friends we've made over the last
five years, (yes this was our 5th trip to HarvestFest) and we made
some new friends. Word has it we might be back again next
year!
We would like to extend our gratitude and appreciation to Dave for
once again taking very good care of us... not to mention the late
night chicken dinner! Thanks again, Dave!
We hope to see you guys out as we head back to the Metcalfe Fair
October 1st and the NEW Crazy Horse in Kanata on October 2nd and
3rd!

I've been on holidays for a few weeks so we have some catching up
to do:
First, let's back it up to our Debut at Mother McGintey's
in the Byward Market on the weekend of July 31st. What a
blast that was! We had no idea what to expect on our first
venture in there but the crowd welcomed us with both arms wide open.
It was Party Time in there both Friday and Saturday nights.
We especially loved the proximity to the crowd.. it
was like we were right in the middle of the dance floor and we loved
it. We'd like to thank everyone for the awesome welcome and
also to the incredible Staff and Management as well... we're
definitely looking forward to our next date.
Secondly, we played the Winchester Dairyfest in
the arena on Saturday, August 8th. Yet another great party.
The folks danced the night away and the energy in the House
was electric. We always have a great time in Winchester and
this time was no exception. A huge Thank You to Patti for
taking good care of us again! Hope to be back next year!
Hope you are all enjoying the first signs of summer and a little
heat for a change. We have a few well deserved weekends off
to spend with our families. See you soon...

We hope everybody had a great Canada Day last Wednesday. We
played an impromptu show out at the North Gower Community Centre.
It was a beautiful, sunshine-y day, depending on what part
of the city you were in.
We rolled into Metcalfe, Ontario on Saturday night to play for Chad
and Jen's Stag and Doe at the Fair Grounds. Chad was our Roadhouse@Your
House contest winner. What a party that turned into!
Who knew that all it took was to crank the volume to get these folks
up and dancing?!? It was a great night and we were happy to
be part of it! Roadhouse would like to extend our congratulations
and best wishes to Chad and Jen.

Wow... that's all I can say! We had an incredible time with
the folks at the Lonestar East this past weekend. There was
a party happening both Friday and Saturday nights. We saw
a few Bridal Parties, some Birthdays and Roadhouse
helping them get their "Party On". We were expecting a slower
Friday night but this was not to be the case: you guys came out
in droves. Word has it that this was the best Friday the Lonestar
had seen in quite a while and we were more than happy to be part
of it with you. And Saturday was... well what can you say
about Saturday at the Lonestar? It's always a great party
on Saturday night and you were all clearly in a dancing mood.
It was great to see you all. And a big "Shout Out" to our
new friends... Welcome aboard!
Our next date is July 4th in Metcalfe, Ontario for our Roadhouse@Your
House contest winner Chad Stanley and Jen, his beautiful
Bride-To-Be at their Stag and Doe. We're looking forward to
it. Congratulations again to Chad and Jen.
We'd like to take the opportunity to wish everyone a very Happy
Canada Day!!!

We had a great time on Saturday night in Lanark at the Crosby Wedding. Jenny
and Sam tied the knot Saturday afternoon and the Party was on soon
afterwards. Their 350 guests were up and dancing from the
first song and stayed there right through to closing time.
We're looking forward to the next time we get together with them
at another wedding in July.
And as usual, thanks to the Ladies (Sue, Sue and Brianna) at the
Timber Run for their hospitality.
Don't forget to come out and see your favourite "Party Band" at
the Lonestar East on June 26-27.

As most of you are aware, Roadhouse was honoured to have been given
the oppportunity to be part of the Canadian Cancer Society's "Relay
For Life" Media Launch at the Lonestar back on March 5th, 2009. We
had a great time and it was an awesome night.
We just received a Thank You card from Donna Edwards and her Crew:
Beth, Gail, Christina, Ashley, Lindsay and Sharyn. If I may
speak for the Boys: Say the word and we'll do anything we can
to help out again! Take a look at our Gallery page to view
the card.
Also, we'd like to remind you of the Maxville Playground Project
tonight at the Maxville Curling Club on Alexander Street W. in lovely
downtown Maxville, Ontario. It's a dance with the purpose
of raising funds for the purchase of some playground equipment at
the Maxville and District Sports Complex.

I have to admit it, Folks... I wasn't sure what to expect at our
Lonestar show on Thursday, considering it was a long weekend...
and Easter weekend, no less. I figured most people would
be travelling to visit family. But let me tell you I was pleasantly
surprised! You guys came out in droves. Lots of our
friends and some familiar faces were out to party with us and lots
of new faces, too. We had a great time, as we always do at
the Lonestar, but it was especially awesome because we were not
expecting such a great turn-out! A Special Shout-Out to our
good buddy Paul Cahill who wanted to Party Hard but had to retire
early due to an "injury"! (Wink, Wink, Nudge, Nudge!!!)
Also, please come out to our next show which is a Fundraising Dance
for The Maxville Playground Project on Friday, April 24. We're
hoping to raise funds for new playground equipment at the Maxville
and District Sports Complex. Tickets are only $10.

Last night's Media Launch for the "Relay For Life" was truly incredible.
I'm not sure how many people made it out but it was a pretty
full house at the Lonestar East. Honorary Chair Michael O'Byrne
from CJOH TV was in Da House to speak to the folks in attendance.
We were proud and honoured to be part of this event. A great time
was had by all and we were no exception. Thanks again to Donna and
her Crew for all the work that went into making last night's event
an absolute success.

A quick note to all of our friends who were planning on attending
our Saturday, April 11 date at the Lonestar East... the date has
been changed to Thursday, April 9. That means you can party
hard on Thursday night and have Friday to sleep in because it's
Easter Weekend.
Also, don't forget that Roadhouse is playing
a Fundraiser Dance for the South Mountain Volunteer Firefighters
Association on Saturday, Feb 14... Come out to party, dance
and support a great cause! Looking forward to seeing you all

Those of you who were present know that the draw for our Roadhouse@Your
House Contest took place at the Lonestar on November 22nd.
And the winner is: Chad Stanley.
We'd like to thank all those who entered the contest. Who
knows: we just might do this again next year.
We'd also like to let you guys know that we had a great time with
you on both Friday and Saturday nights. It was crazy busy
both nights and it was definitely a great Party weekend.
On a last note: We would like to thank all of our good friends,
those we've known for a while as well as all the new friends we've
made in the recent past for yet another incredible year for ROADHOUSE.
We have a few private parties left to end this year but we're starting
the New Year off with a bang at the Lonestar East once again for
one-night only on Friday, January 2nd, 2009... so save a little
bit of Party Energy for the First Party of the Year. We'll see you
then.
Merry Christmas and a very Happy, Safe and Prosperous New Year to
everyone.

OK... we plead "GUILTY"! A number of you have asked us who won our
"Roadhouse@YourHouse" Contest.
The truth is: we had such a great time at our Grace O'Malley's gig
that we forgot to draw the winning ballot. So the draw will
take place at the beginning of the 3rd Set on Saturday, November
22 at the Lonestar East.
The good news is: that means you still have TWO more chances to
get a ballot filled out before we make the draw.
And if that wasn't enough: Roadhouse and the Lonestar East are proud
to announce that we will be collecting toys for this year's "Help
Santa Toy Parade" which is celebrating its 39th anniversary.
We'll have a box ready for you folks to deposit your toys
for less fortunate children in the Ottawa area. If you’d like
to donate a NEW toy, bring it along when you come out on Friday
or Saturday night.
From the "Help Santa Toy Parade" website (www.toyparade.org): "Due
to the fact of the numerous amount of unsuitable used toys that
have been dropped off over the years we will be no longer accepting
used toys of any kind. New toys can be dropped off at any
of the Salvation Army Thrift Stores. We will also accept new
toys at any Ottawa Fire Station from November 23 to December 20.
We are not able to arrange for toy pickups outside the stations."

We hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving Weekend and ate lots of
Turkey! I know I did...
Well, we just had ourselves an awesome time at
Grace O'Malley's West! It was our first time at Gracie's and
we can't say enough good things about it... From the warm
welcome we received from Staff to the great reception we were given
by the patrons. What a Party Zone!!! This pub has an awesome
atmosphere . We would like to thank all the Staff for everything
and especially Rob for going above and beyond. We're looking
forward to some dates in the New Year.
And one last thing: just a friendly reminder to get out there

Wow... What can I say? Saturday night was beyond a doubt an
incredible evening! I'm not sure if we've ever had a better
crowd at the Lonestar East... The dance floor was filled to capacity,
and the folks were singing like Rock Stars... The smiles on
our faces gave it away... WE had a great time as well. I'm
not sure what the numbers were but I can tell you this: the Dance
Hall was busting at the seams. We had a difficult time navigating
through the crowd to mingle. I was surprised to find out after
the fact that some of our good friends were there and we didn't
even know about it. Thanks to all who were there to make it
a great party!
Also, a big SHOUT OUT to our good friend Marco who handled "Lighting
Duties" for us and also to Ben on Sound!
Our ROADHOUSE@YOUR HOUSE Contest is picking up steam. Don't
forget to ask Mike for a ballot.

the place to be this past weekend! It may have been the Easter

number of Birthdays, including our buddy Andrew who was clearly
"givin'er" (ask him about his "Head Gear"! lol). The dance
floor was hopping and the "beverages" were flowing.
Just a reminder: Don't forget to visit us on Facebook.

Great news, folks!
It is with great pride that we announce that ROADHOUSE has been
asked to be part of an incredible cause: "Cops for Cancer". Please
join us at the Lonestar East, St-Laurent Boulevard, on November
29, 2007 as the Boys raise the roof while their hair hits the floor!
Yes, that's right... Randy, Shane and Mike will have their heads
shaved to support the cause. So please mark your calendars, dig
deep and be part of the fun. It should be an incredible night
and all of it for a great cause.
The following was taken from the
Canadian Cancer Society's website:
"Canadian Cancer Society Cops for Cancer"
Police officers across the province play a leadership role in organizing
the Canadian Cancer Society’s Cops for Cancer events by involving
the community in fundraising and cancer awareness activities. Police
officers – both men and women – agree to have their heads shaved
at a public place (such as shopping malls or city hall). The police
officers collect pledges from co-workers, friends and family. The
Society’s Cops for Cancer program also includes other community
activities such as head-shaves, hair cutting and dying events at
schools, coin collections, golf tournaments, BBQ’s softball tournaments,
road races and many other events. To date, the Canadian Cancer Society’s
Cops for Cancer program has raised more than $16 million across
Canada!

Hey everyone... We were honoured to play the "Melody of Music" for
the Lion's Club this past Saturday afternoon at the Ottawa Congress
Centre. There are 2 separate shows for a wide range of folks
from the very young to the very young at heart. The first
at 11:00 am and the second at 2:00 pm. We opened both shows
and were followed by a great Magician called Dick Joiner.
Do yourself a favour: If have the chance to catch his show,
do not miss it... He puts on a very entertaining show and
I challenge you to not let his unique laugh get you started.
Wrapping things up was "Ottawa Valley Country Music Hall of Fame"
Inductee Bruce Golden with his back-up band Borderline. They
put on a great show as well. Bruce is a veteran entertainer
and a natural on the microphone and his band was great to work with.
We would like to thank Ted Larabie from the Lion's Club for inviting
us to perform at the shows as well as for his gracious hospitality.
But we would really like to thank all the folks who joined us at
the "Meet and Greet" table following the shows. We got to
speak with a lot of great people and it was a pleasure to see some
young faces.

Too much to catch up on. Let's start with the more recent
events and work our way back.
Last weekend found the Boys at the Richmond Fair. It was
a slow start because we were competing against the Demolition
Derby. The folks were trickling in slowly but once the Demo
Derby was done the flood gates opened and the party was under
way. Let it be said that Richmond knows how to Party. The
people were dancing and the beer was flowing. We had a
great time and made some new friends once more... that is by far
the best part of playing these fairs: The People. I know
we've been fortunate to make a great number of new friends as
a result of playing all the Fairs and Bars in the Ottawa Valley
and beyond. So please do not hesitate to come up to one
or all three of us and chat us up a little. We look forward
to meeting you and adding you to the Roadhouse Family.

Hey everybody,
Well, I guess it's Official... the kiddies are back in school
so that can only mean one thing: SUMMER IS OVER! It pains
me to admit it but I can't control the weather so I am at Mother
Nature's mercy just like everyone else. With the end of
summer comes the end of Holidays and therefore, more frequent
updates to the News Page.
We have updated the Gallery Page so go check it out. The
NEWS Page will be udpated shortly. Keep an eye out for updates
on our last Lonestar gig, our amazing Roadhouse at Your House
Contest gig, the South Mountain Fair, as well as the Merrickville

And don't forget to come out to the Richmond Fair this Friday
night.
We're looking forward to seeing everyone and catching up on what's
new with you.

We made our way into a cold and windy Frankford, Ontario on Saturday
night. Got the chance to check out a local band called Immortal.
They are a 4-piece Classic Rock act, consisting of Drums, Bass,
Guitar and Keys. They played quite a cross section of tunes
from Cream to YES to Cold Play. After the MC introduced the band,
we saw them come out onto the stage and realized they were some
young guns of about 16 to 17 years of age. They were proficient
players and we were impressed by them. Then I spoke with
one of the Ladies who was clearly enjoying the band. I asked
if she knew the guys. She told me the Guitar player was
her Grandson. I asked how old they were and she tells me
they are 14 years old. I was doubly impressed. These
guys were good are they had the crowd going. Well done guys.
Then it was time for us Old Timers to get up and keep the Party
going!!! We succeeded and the place was definitely in high
gear. The air seemed to warm up a little and the wind died
down and all was good. The Boys had a great time and it
showed. Mike had a lot of family drop in and they were all
in "fine form"! We'd like to thank the Frankford Riverfest
Board and Marilou Cross in particular for ensuring everything
was in order for us. We hope to see you fine folks again

Hey Folks... We had a great time in Wakefield at the Blacksheep
Inn with our good friend Marc Dubois. It was an absolute
pleasure and honour to share the stage with such a Talent.
Ever the consummate professional, Marc effortlessly draws his
crowd into the Show. It truly was awe-inspiring. I'm
sure I speak for the Boys when I say: "We're there for you
anytime you need us, Marc!"
The Blacksheep is a smaller, more intimate venue. It has
a very personal feel to it. We'd like to thank Paul, owner
of "The Sheep" (as it's affectionately called) and also his staff
for treating us well. We look forward to returning sometime
soon.
Just a quick reminder that we are at the Lonestar Café East this
weekend. Since it's a long weekend, the Dance Hall is open
Thursday night as well as Friday and Saturday.
See you there.

Don't forget to come out to the Blacksheep Inn located in Beautiful
Downtown Wakefield, Quebec on April 1st to check out Roadhouse
backing up our good buddy, the One and Only, Marc
Dubois. Should be a great evening of music,
laughs and a large helping of the un-expected. Hope to
see you out.
And don't forget, Roadhouse will be at the Lonestar Café on April
13, 14, 15. We're looking forward to seeing all of our friends.
Have a great weekend, everyone.

If there's one thing we've learned lately, it's this: NEVER
estimate the Party by the size of the town. We were in Crysler,
Ontario for their annual Winter Carnival. We were pleasantly
surprised by the crowd that was out. They danced the night
away and sang along with every tune. You guys were awesome!!
We'd like to send out a big Thank You to Gordie and Kathy for
providing some good laughs. Thanks also go out to Lindsay
Webber for taking care of everything for us. There's a good
chance we may see the fine folks in Crysler before too long.
Stay tuned... Details to follow.

After being "virtually" slapped by a number of people, I am updating
the RH Site and this page in particular. There's lots to
catch up on so let's dig right in.
We just got back from our 1st "Road Trip" in recent memory.
We made our way up to North Bay, Ontario... actually, East
Ferris, a small town just short of North Bay. The 4-hour
trek gave us some time catch up on some personal news and have
a few laughs... OK, more than just a few laughs. Burger
King in Deep River will forever strike our collective funny bone.
There is something wrong about watching some guy eating a Subway
sandwich in a Burger King... ya probably had to be there... Anyhow,
we got to the Community Hall in East Ferris, managed to wrangle
ourselves a few helpers to load in and got into "set-up" mode.
We had a group of kids ranging from about 3 to 7 years old who
couldn't wait to hear the band... so we did a quick sound
check for them and watched their faces light up. You have
to love kids... it takes so little to make them happy. This
was, by far, the most applause we have ever gotten for Sound Check...
lol
Anyhow, off to the Travelodge to clean up a little and back to
the Hall to get the Party underway. The Dance was Sold Out
and the folks were hungry for a band that played more than just
Country and we were there to deliver. We found out after
the 1st Set that "Hurts So Good" was the first Rock song they'd
heard at Winter Carnival in 7 years. Glad to be the ones
to break that streak for you guys. And the rest of the night
was awesome... everybody was dancing and singing. We were
amazed at the singing... they were louder than the sound system
on a few occasions. Needless to say a great time was had
by all. We would like to thank the Carnival Board for inviting
us up to party with them. A Special Thanks goes out to Mr.
William Ball for taking great care of us. Word has it that
we'll be invited back next year. We hope to see you folks
then.
January 27/28, 2006:
The location was the Lonestar East and the event was the Jeff
Healey Blues Band. We had been asked to open the show for
him and that's what we did. We gave the Sold Out Crowd what
they needed to get ready for the main Event. They danced
through our Set and they were primed by the time Mister Healey
made it to the stage. He rocked the place serving up some
classic Blues numbers as well as a few of his signature tunes. Jeff
was surrounded by some veteran players... the band was tight and
tunes were definitely groovin'!

December 23, 2005:
We just got word that The Jeff Healey Blues Band will be making
a stop at the Lonestar Café on January 27th and Roadhouse will
be opening the show.

November 29, 2005:
After a 5 week hiatus, we returned to the Lonestar East in Ottawa
with a renewed hunger for the stage. As much as we enjoy a break
every now and then, it was good to be together again. We hadn't
seen much of each other in those 5 weeks... Randy had spent a
couple weeks with his family visiting in Calgary, Shane was busy
tending to his Company and Mike was occupied with being a Dad
and tending to some new developments in his life. But back to
the Lonestar... we were in for a 3-nighter. Thursday was much
better than we had expected considering the weather. It
gave us a chance to dust off the cobwebs and get back into Roadhouse
Mode. I think we may have even given Nancy a bit of a Heart Attack
by finally playing Crystal Chandelier for her without being pestered
to do so... we love ya, Nancy!!! And as good as Friday was, Saturday
night was definitely the night to be out. The place was an absolute
ZOO. We had friends come out in droves to help Shane and Mike
celebrate their birthdays. The dance floor was hopping and the
beverages were flowing... They even had to enlist the help of
a Manager or two to keep the tables cleared. In short, it certainly
was "Party Central". And the Boys had a great night, too! It sure
was great to be back "Home" to the Lonestar. We'd like to thank
all the Lonestar East Staff and Management for always making us
feel welcome. Cheers!

October 7, 2005:
October 1st - Ladysmith Rock-toberfest. We found ourselves
driving into the interior of Quebec to a small 4 corner town called
Ladysmith. It was a warm afternoon show interrupted only
by the sounds of Steroid Enhanced Monster Tractors (the roar almost
drowned out the Sound System). We were concerned that about
the strong presence of the "over 50" audience members, and we
wondered if the band would go over. But we won the crowd
over with some traditional country tunes, and danceable New Country.
We would like to thank the organizers at Ladysmith, and we hope
to see them on Friday night next year. Thanks to Bruce for
doing Sound. The Production folks always seem to be forgotten
on these types of events. The fact is that they are on site
for the full day from the first note to the last. A big
"Thanks" also goes out to Mark Papousek from Y101 for the kind
words and the "refreshments". You're the Man, Mark!
October 2nd - Metcalfe Fair:
Sunday afternoon was another warm beautiful
fall day. We were scheduled to open for the lovely Shania
Twin. We would like to thank the Shania Twin Band for being
so cordial and easy going. We played the 1st set, and joined
the capacity crowd to enjoy Shania's set, leaving only to catch
a race heat of the Super Modified Riding Lawn Mowers. We
went back into the hall to do a finishing set after the Shania
tribute band. The fair closed the beer garden at 5PM, so
keeping a crowd was quite a challenge. Finally losing out
at 5:55pm, we "shut 'er down". Again we had a good time
and we hope to perform for the Metcalfe Fair, or any of the Fair's
functions. Come on out to McCann's Pub in lovely Arnprior
on Oct 14 and 15… I understand there will be a wild pack of crazy
ladies out on the town for a bachelorette party. See you
there.

September 28, 2005:
Like I said last week, the folks in Carp sure know how to throw
a great party and Saturday night was certainly no exception.
I couldn't tell you what the attendance was but it certainly looked
like a full house to me. Needless to say the beer was flowing.
We had a great time as usual. This was our second trip to
the Carp Fair and it was just as good as it was last year... perhaps
even better. Take a look at the Gallery to check out some
new pix. We managed to get some good crowd shots this time.
Thanks to the Official Roadhouse Photographer for the great shots.
This weekend brings us to Ladysmith, Quebec on Saturday afternoon
for the Ladysmith Oktoberfest. Ladysmith is in the Shawville
area. Just a little ways up Hwy 303. We hit the stage
from 4:30 to 8:30pm and Sunday is the Metcalfe Fair. We
play two sets: The first at 1pm and again at 4pm. We look forward
to seeing you at either, or both, events.

September 21,
2005:
A great time was definitely had by all at the Williamsburg Harvest
Fest on Saturday night. The place was in Dancing-Mode for
sure. From the first guitar strum to the last cymbal crash,
the dance floor was hopping. This was our second venture into
Williamsburg and it sure was great. The folks there made us
feel right at home. We'd like send out a big HELLO to the
Quinn Sisters, Sarah and Tabitha. And a Huge debt of gratitude
to a great guy by the name of Dave who made sure we were well taken
care of.
We are looking forward to the Carp Fair this Saturday... it's always
a blast in Carp where the folks certainly know how to throw a great
party. We share the stage with a female singer by the name
of Donna Ferra and her band. You've undoubtedly heard her
single "Waited Long Enough" on Y101 a good number of times.
We're looking forward to meeting her and working with her. See
you in Carp, RH Webster
September 9, 2005:
Better late than never, I always say... Once again, we answered
the call to open for a great Canadian artist. This time it
was for Aaron Lines at the Shawville Fair. We played a late
afternoon set and then again at 7:30 to a great crowd. A lot
of people still don't know what to make of us until they see us
in action. I think we managed to convert a few more to our
way of having a good time. But on to Mr. Lines. He was
promoting his latest album "Waiting On The Wonderful" featuring
the title track as well as his new single "It Takes A Man" which
is great tune about the responsibilities and rewards of Fatherhood.
His band was solid and the set was smooth. He was also very
approachable as the throng of Fans will attest to. He had
a "Meet and Greet" with everyone who stood in line to see him and
he signed Posters, CDs, T-Shirts, Hats, and anything else that was
presented to him. He is a genuinely nice guy and it was a
pleasure to meet him.
We would like to send out a warm "Hello" to our new Friends Shawn
and Emily.

August 29, 2005:
There's no better place to be on a Saturday night than at the Lonestar
East! Things started off a little slow attendance-wise but
quickly picked up and the place was hopping and the dance floor
was definitely getting a work-out. There were alot of friends
there and a whole bunch of new faces. We were paid a visit
by the Girls from the Stittsville Grace O'Malley's. They certainly
were having a great time... at least Talia was... if
ya know what I mean!. Thanks for coming out, Ladies. And
our good buddy Jenny from the Block... I mean The Prior was out
as well... See you in October at McCann's!
We would like to thank the awesome staff at the Lonestar East for
taking care of us once again. They always seem to go the extra
mile for us. It's greatly appreciated.
Special Mentions go out to:
- Billy for providing the laughs, whether it was intentional
or not,
- Craig for showing us how NOT to lose a finger while
prepping the lemons, and;
- Congratulations to Ryan for finally joining us in
the 21st Century.
Join us this weekend at the Shawville Fair on Saturday. We
play a set late in the afternoon and then we hit the stage at 7:30pm
to open for Aaron Lines. Hope to see ya there!
Have a great week...

August 19, 2005:
OK... please accept my apologies... I know it has been a long time
since the NEWS page has been updated but I have experienced computer
problems and have been on holidays (not necessarily in that order...
lol).
Let's start with a trip back in time... July 30th at the Riverside
Jam in beautiful Carleton Place, Ontario. We were
fortunate enough to open up for the lovely Miss Michelle Wright.
I cannot emphasize to you how nice this lady is. She
in an amazing singer and performer. Her band was right on
the money and the delivery was perfect. Michelle sure knows
how to captivate an audience. She is a class act all the way
and it was an absolute pleasure to meet her. We also got to
meet Carroll Baker and watch a Canadian Legend at work. Ms.
Baker paid tribute to Ottawa Valley Country Music Hall of Fame Member,
the late Terry Carisse.
Roadhouse would like to thank Davey Drummond and all who were involved
with organizing the Riverside Jam. It was good to see my old
buddy Brad Munro who was one of many Stage Hands who took care of
the numerous quick band changes. Great job, guys!
And on to Winchester Dairyfest on August 6 and
7. What can I say? The folks in Winchester sure know
how to make a band feel welcome. We played the Dance on Saturday
night to what had to be close to a capacity crowd. They danced
from the moment we hit the stage until it was all over and the lights
came on. If memory serves, we played "Save A Horse" at least
3 times that night. They just couldn't get enough of it.
On Sunday evening, we played the closing set to a rather exuberant
audience and then we all enjoyed a great Fireworks Show. Let
me assure you, Winchester, that we had a great time. Hope
we get to do it all over again next year.
Our next stop was the Ottawa Congress Centre for
the 33rd edition of The Lion's Club of Cumberland's presentation
called "Melody of Music" on August 13. There were
3 shows: 1pm, 4pm and 7pm. We shared the stage with 2 other
great acts:
The first was the "Dick Smith/Michael O'Reilly Band". These
guys put on an incredible Bluegrass show. They were a four-piece
band consisting of acoustic guitar, fiddle, banjo, mandolin and
upright bass. Top Notch players and awesome tunes.
They were followed by "Evans and Evans Magic and Comedy Show". Tons
of fun and lots of crowd participation. Rob and his wife Pat
have a great show and the kids (as well as the adults) in the audience
had a great time. Go to the RH Links page to find them under
"Fun Stuff".
We capped the weekend off with a mid-afternoon set at the Navan
Fair on Sunday, August 14. We had a great time. It
was our first time in Navan so the folks weren't too sure what to
make of us at first but they caught on soon enough. Some of
our buddies showed up with their wives and kids. We also saw
a few of our friends from the Lonestar out there, too.
A huge thank you goes out to the fine folks who took care of all
the entertainers back stage... it certainly was appreciated.
We are off this weekend... some of us are gonna try to get
some camping in. I Hope the weather works with us.
See you at the Lonestar next Saturday night only (August 27).
Take care,
RH Webster
July 19, 2005:
If you live anywhere near the Ottawa area then you know how hot
it's been lately and this past weekend was no exception. We
started the weekend off in Renfrew for Valleyfest on Thursday night.
It was hot and sticky but we survived. We had great
time and hopefully converted a few more folks to the RH Camp. On
Saturday night we played the Kars Fair. We weren't sure if
we would even have a chance to play as the skies opened up and down
came the rain. There was a slight change of plans and it was
decided we would play in storage building instead of under the gazebo
as was originally hoped. The rain let up a little and we got
started to a small but mighty crowd. Despite the rain threatening
to "dampen" everyone's spirits (sorry... I couldn't help it... lol)
the partiers remained and the dance rocked on. We'd like to
say hello to "Winchester" (who's name I never did find out)... she
knows who she is. We are looking forward to seeing her as
well as all our friends in a few weeks at Dairyfest. We would
also like to thank Rob and his Security Crew for taking such good
care us in Kars.
We are off this weekend but are fortunate enough to have been asked
to open for Canadian Country Superstar Michelle Wright at the 2nd
Annual Riverside Jam in beautiful Carleton Place on Saturday, July
30. We hit the stage at 8:15pm. Hope to see you out
there supporting a great Festival as well as some great Canadian
Talent.

It is with great pleasure that we announce that the lucky winner
of the
Roadhouse @ Your House contest is Kathy
Caron of Aylmer, Quebec.
We will work out all the details with Kathy and get her event up
and running. Looking forward finding out what her plans are.
We were at the Lonestar this past weekend. We had a bit of
a slow start on Friday due in part to the fact that Bluesfest was
on, but the night shaped up to be a good one. Lots of our
good friends were out and having a great time.
Saturday was business as usual and a great time was had by all.
We had a full house and all were in Party Mode. Along
with our regular core of friends, we are pleased to be seeing more
and more new faces out at our shows. We love to meet new people
so don't be shy... come on up to us and chat us up.
This week brings us to Renfrew on Thursday night for Valleyfest.
We hit the stage at 7pm.
Saturday night we play a dance at the Kars Fair. This will
be our first foray into Kars so we are hoping to meet lots of new
people on Saturday night.
See you this weekend...

I am a little late in updating this page. There's so much
to catch up on...
So here goes:
We were at the Timber Run Golf Course in Lanark this past weekend
to help celebrate the wedding of Trevor and Christina. We'd
like to wish them a long, happy and healthy life together.
Congratulations.
Roadhouse would like to thank the fine folks at the Timber Run for
taking good care of us when we are there. Once again the Ladies
treated us to some fine snacks and ice cold beverages. Wink...
Wink... Thanks again.
We have the Canada Day weekend off, but we have a busy summer lined
up again this year.
Our next gig is July 8th and 9th at the Lonestar East in Ottawa.
This is the long awaited weekend we draw the winning ballot for
the Roadhouse @ Your House contest.
You still have time to get in on the contest. The draw will
take place at Midnight on Saturday, July 9th, so be sure to ask
one of the guys for a ballot.
Good Luck to everyone.
On a more serious note, it was a bitter sweet weekend for the boys
in the band. Despite numerous pleas for him to reconsider
his decision, we bid a very fond farewell to our great friend and
guitar player, Joel. He has decided to return to the Maritimes
to be closer to his family. Joel will be greatly missed both
as a member of the band and also as a friend. Help us in wishing
Joel and his girlfriend Rhonda a safe trip back to New Brunswick
and continued success in all his future endeavours. You can
send your well-wishes to Joel through his RH e-mail address on the
Contact page.
Good luck and all the best to you. We are going to seriously
miss you, Spike!

June 14, 2005:
Well as everyone was aware, it sure was a hot and sticky weekend.
We started it off at the Ormstown Fair in, you guessed it, Ormstown,
Quebec. A nice little town south west of Montreal just a
hop, skip and a jump from the New York State Border. We hit
the road early afternoon and got settled into a Bed & Breakfast
called Gite du Centaure. Our most gracious hosts were Ariane
and Eric Pritchard. They treated us like Royalty. We
got ourselves set-up and back to the B&B to shower and headed back
to the Fair. If it wasn't hot enough outside, it sure was
inside the beer tent. We had a great time, as did the folks
who were there and we met some nice people including Debra and Karen,
our 2 new "Roadhouse Dancers". We had an early departure on
Saturday morning and our hosts treated us to an outstanding breakfast.
Thanks again, Ariane and Eric!
Saturday found us in Metropolitan Blackburn for the Fun Fair. We
weren't sure if we'd even make it to the stage as it started to
rain just before we got up but the sky cleared up and we were up
and running for 10pm. The folks in the Beer Tent seemed to
be appreciating the tunes as well as our warped sense of humour.
It was a great night despite the humidity.
Join us this weekend at McCann's Pub in Arnprior on Friday and Saturday
nights at 10pm as well as the Pakenham 5 Span Jam on Saturday evening
at 7pm. See you there.
And remember folks, you still have time to fill out a ballot for
our Roadhouse @ Your House Contest. The draw will take
place at at the Lonestar East at Midnite on July 9th, 2005 so don't
be shy, ask one of the guys for a ballot and be sure to get your
name in before it's too late...

Despite the intense load-in and load-out of the New Edinburgh Boathouse,
a great time was had by all on Saturday night. The Bride was
beautiful, the Groom was dashing and the Party was started.
Seems they had guests from every corner of the Globe.
Roadhouse would like to extend it's most sincere congratulations
and best wishes to Marnie and Curtis.

We had a great time at the Lonestar again this weekend. We
caught up with some old friends... met lots of new people
and made some new friends. Friday night was great as usual
but Saturday night was a zoo. Standing room only and a line-up
around the lower bar. Nice to see some of our new buddies from the
Perth Blue Wings on the dance floor... Get 'er Done, Boys!!!
There were 2 Bachelorette parties... Courtney sure seemed
to be getting into the spirit of things... Nice drink holder...
lol.. not sure how much of her list of items she managed
to check off... one of them was to sing with the band and
she did just that... Brown Eyed Girl will never be the same
without you...
And remember folks, you still have time to fill out a ballot for
our Roadhouse @ Your House Contest. The draw will take
place at Midnite on July 9th, 2005 so don't be shy, ask one of the
guys for a ballot and be sure to get your name in before it's too
late...
